| On vacation, my family went on a hike in some mountains. They're totally wild, and totally awesome. I'm used to seeing neat and tidy gardens, and straight lines everywhere. The path was crooked and the plants were crazy, doing whatever they wanted, because no man tended to them. No man had to do anything to those plants to make them beautiful. God did that already. Most of them aren't that good looking on their own, just some green leafy things, but all together make an incredible sight. I felt like this was a major opening of the eyes, done by the Creator Himself, to show me His glory. As if the green leafy plants, and flowers, and roots were all His attributes, that are amazing in themselves, but nothing compared to the glory when they're all combined. And how no man has to do anything to alter that to make it wonderful. You don't have to leave out parts of God or the Bible, because then it loses some beauty. All you have to do is make a path. All someone did was realize how amazing this mountain was, and then made a path so that it could be shared with and praised by others. All I have to do is continue realizing how amazing God is, and respond to the irresistible calling to share Him in His fullness with everyone else, to the praise of His glory. All I have to do is make a path and let them see it, all together. And God is infinitely better than any mountain or plant or great combination of both anyways. I want to see Him in His raw beauty, aside from all my misconceptions and confusions and perversions. I want to look past His hand and instead seek only His face. Pushing every hindrance aside, out of my way, because I want to know You more. |
